Sensor in red is oil pressure sensor.

One in the oil pan is a float sensor that let's you know when your oil is low.

Ok gentleman best oil for break in? Should I just use standard and an additive? This engine is bored 30 over crank is ground 10 under and cam is standard flat tappet.

Please for the love of the Gods tell me that you use a moly based assembly Lube...

Lucas break in oil is my choice. It's a flat tappet motor, you absolutely want to use a high zinc break in oil. You will really regret it if you don't. Also, be sure to Prine The oiling system. Lots of ways to do it

I used an assembly lube made by Lucas. It was green. Very thick. No clue if it was moly based.

it was this one actually so it contains zinc and moly

Good choice.

Their break in oil is around the same price as any other decent oil. Worth getting imo.

That sensor you were asking about is the knock sensor, not the oil pressure sensor. The oil pressure sensor mounts on the same side of the block as the knock sensor, but at the front of the block (shown in your 3rd and 8th picture). I'm surprised the 2.9 Mafia guys didn't know this.

Motors back in and the break in is done. Now to fix the vacuum and exhaust leaks and adjust the timing. Took all day to drop it in. Somehow ended up tilted to the left but we got one bolt in and the rest lined up. “Let’s rebuild the motor I said it will be easy” . Well she’s back in now and it sounds like I didn’t screw it up for now at least.

That engine is a work of art. I wouldn't have the patience to detail like that. Nice work.

What he said^. Kudos on the install. That engine is gorgeous. I'm more envious of the fact that you still have the engine hoist loops.

I have to add to what everybody is saying about your rebuild. The workmanship and detail are outstanding.

I'm afraid, that if I built one that pretty, I'd just put it in a glass case in the living room, and then go out and get a junkyard motor to put in the truck.

Update: got the motor broken in. Ran great. Got the timing done. Went to take it for it’s maiden voyage but I lost a freeze plug in the driveway. ! Back in the garage it goes
