Recently bought my fourth ranger - a 1988 XLT. Hoping to restore it back to original as much as possible. Bought this one because the interior is in great shape and very little rust. Been working on the interior while my mechanic handles the suspension and engine.
The rear view mirror was off when I bought it and one was in the cab but had the foggy black spots that seems to happen to the mirrored surface over time. Also not sure this is even the original mirror. Because I'm installing OEM parts as much as possible, I'm reluctant to slap an autozone replacement or even one from LMC.
Does anyone have the specs for the original Ranger 1988 XLT mirror? 8", 10" ? Also looking for a source. I haven't been able to find any on eBay for the 80s and I'm not sure its the same as the '89+ models.
Hoping to save myself a trip to the junkyard. Appreciate any help or thoughts.
Thanks,
Cody
