So my Ma's 94 Land Rover Discovery just broke down yesterday. Her starter is fried. But, before she got it towed home, she wanted me to bring a new battery, take a few readings, and make sure before we go spending money on expensive ass European car parts. Just thought this was a cool picture:
22 year old Ford Ranger coming to the rescue of a supposed "Luxury SUV" (at least for 1994), and looking way sexier all the while.
So yeah, just wanted to share that with everyone.
EDIT:
Starters on Land Rovers SUCK to remove. One bolt on top, one on bottom, 3 electrical connections... and blocked by the driveshaft on the bottom and exhaust manifold on the top. Plus, the bolts to remove them are allen bolts. I've done plenty of starters in my day, but never anything THIS retarded.
Oil covered both arms, hands, and most of my face. Had wiped a bunch off already when we took that pic.
