Did you check and see if Edelbrock or someone has a performance head you can get?? When you got the 4.0L for replacing your 3.slo, did you consider doing the V8 swap instead??

i did consider a V8 swap , but i am a fan of the 4.0 and i like keeping it as it could have ben optioned at the fctory , plus i didnt feel like putting in the effort to the 5.0 swap , this cylinder head issue it the first major problem i have run into during this build , and by now i have so much sunk into this truck i cannot switch directions

that motor looks amazingly familiar, exept its 1.0l larger? motors lookin awesome and good thinking on putting it all in as one unit, it makes it so much easier when the core support is out, i put mine in all by myself on new years eve since my friends were partying and no where to be found. im going to be keeping my eye on this build!

time for updates , some progress , i have been hindered by my own stupidity , i had tow boxes with gaskets , so i took the inside packaging out of the one with the couple gaskets left and put that on the bench , the other box had bigger gaskets like valve cover and upper intake gaskets , but the boxes were identical sizewise , and guess which one i threw out , i will give you a hint , it was not the empty one , and some how my crank pulley bolt disappeared :dunno:
