Nothing new, Bro. This has been brought up on this site a bunch of time. it has been planned for sometime now by Ford to end the Ranger. The F100 is coming...with a crewcab......no more Ranger. Ford should have sold the Ranger crewcab here instead of sending it overseas!!!!! That I would have bought and still kept my 99 Supercab......Oh, well.

Had to read the link to see if anything was new and no. They did mention that 90% of the world uses right hand drive. Find that very wrong. Only ones were British colonies at one time. Think it's more like 1/3. All of the americans exept for a couple of small spots are left wheel drive, most of Europe and China also. India of course counts for a lot of the RH drive.

Last line says it all. 'Not enough profit', regardless of sales.

The Tacoma outsells the Ranger almost 2 to 1... and if you fish out the boring base white 2wd four cylinder fleet trucks that everybody is stocking up on while the cheap and available it would be even worse than that, not much money to be made there.

Fords reputation is in a upswing, it totally makes sense for them to go head to head with Toyota and try to steal back their perch.

Nothing new there but a shame that its "official". I think alot of us in the US just want a small, bare bones, 4 cyl, stickshift truck. Not enough though. Not everyone wants an F150.
