Hi there,

I have a high mileage (330,000kms) 1997 XLT still running good with original engine, solid frame.

A 2009 4L Ranger with a severely rusted and cracked frame just became available for parts.. will I find much overlap with my 1997 XLT?

I’m aware that I have the OHV, not the SOHC, but will there be enough useful parts on that truck to make it worth having it kicking around? The owner of the 2009 wants $300.

Best,

Pete

Not much will be usable as parts you can simply remove and bolt onto your truck... rear axle, transmission (if it's a manual and if you have a manual...auto, not so much.) Have to see it to judge if it's worth $300, probably would be much more useful to someone who has a 98 or newer rig.
