Where's the mud at?!

I live in portland, and am pretty familiar with the trails around TSF, we've had lots of fun there. I grew up in Arkansas, so the kind of wheelin I'm used to is less trails/crawling and more playin in big mud pits. I know the terrain is a little different here (bit of an understatement) but does anyone know a place near-ish to portland where one can get their mud fix? I'm jonesin!

Are those bogs on public property, or can you only get to em during that one annual event...?

Oh I totally agree, browns camp/TSF is absolutly amazing, and we're all lucky to have such a great playground open to the public...I've been there 4 or 5 times this year, never a dull moment. But mud bogs are fun in their own right, and every now and then I just wanna (temporarily) paint the truck brown.:D
I'm not finding much info on the bogs, google searches just bring up info about the annual event, and their FAQ is sparse. Anyways, its a little far from here for a day trip, I'll probably end up out in tsf

I know this is an old thread, but there's wildcat mtn road out in sandy. also there's silver fox/prometory/squaw mountain. whatever you prefer to call it. The La De Trails are up there.

I don't know if the woodland bottoms are still open or not, but there's is some mud down there.

If you come up to Clatskanie we have a days worth of fun for you.

Haha if you wanna drive to the coast we are having MudFest here near powers, some of the best mudding, and friendliest people around. Know it's quite the drive but there are places all over down here in the coastal mountain range
