Recently purchased some Outpost AT tires through my local Discount Tire, taking them up to Mt. Baker both today and the day prior. I found them to perform predictably on what little snow I could find (the ski area had some decent snowfall last week but they've cleared it off the roads now), minor slippage in the muddy sections of the surrounding service roads (most turned out to be washed out, so bummer on that). They remind me of the Open Country AT, only slightly noisier than the Michelin LTX, they have enough siping to stay nice on the streets too...
Anyone else take the chance on these? Its the first time I've seen Nokian release something of the sort. But between being $144 a tire, and the winter rating... It just checked too many boxes. I would have preferred a 245/75r16, but the 265/70r16 is all they had in stock

Don't even see that model listed from our supplier yet.

I don't think I have ever sold a Nokian though, their selection is very spotty as you noticed.

Pricing 17" tires for a Grand Cherokee right now, nokian doesn't make a single tire for it.

I think Nokian is a brand from either Norway or Sweden.

I don’t remember seeing much in the way of glowing reviews on them.

Historically, they've made some of the highest rated winter tires, although they've only recently seen adoption in the US. Having brought to market a number of 'all weather' tires which differ from all season in that they count legally as studless winter tires, I thought it'd be nice running a single set of tires rather than having to store a second set of winters. Year round all seasons don't matter too much where I'm from but in parts of Canada winter tires are a legally required item for periods of the year.
We received some pretty substantial rain today, to find the hydroplaning resistance to be absolutely fantastic
