Just bought a '91 Ranger SuperCab 3.0L, 5 speed, 219,000 kms. It's an Alberta truck, which means the chassis and body are a whole lot better than most 2001's around here, given our salt air and the huge amount of road salt used during our freeze-thaw winters. (Our dark blue Saturn wagon is a two-tone right now; white lower body and tailgate, dark blue above that )
Runs nice and smooth, seems good and tight, needs a couple of ball joints now and most likely a clutch job in the foreseeable but not immediate future. Going to get it undercoated and rust-checked this week, then do the fluids and filters, belts and hoses over the next couple of months. Truck will be used for light duty lugging stuff, some camping and paddling, and maybe to tow a light 13' FG travel trailer. Still a little apprehensive about the age, but it's been "guts-for-gartered' by our mechanic and friend...and he hasn't steered us wrong in the 10 years he's taken care of our rides...
