**** 1 Ton Early Bronco Build dana 60, 14 bolt, 44s ****
So I decided this winter to build a new offroader because my explorer needed a motor (3rd 351) another rear ( parts came out of the housing on the 60) and my frame was broke in 5 spots (it has been wheeled hard for 4 years now). So being my dad has tons of Early Broncos I decided to use one of them because I like to take off the doors and roof to run in the summer but then I can't wheel in the winter unless I can just bolt them back on, So a EB is the best of both worlds...hopefully. I've only been on the project about a month so far. Tell me what you guys think ya I know it's not a RBV but it should still be pretty cool I hope.
It's a 71 EB 302, NP435 granny 4spd, NP205 case, 79 Dana60 front 5.13s, 14bolt rear, 44 boggers on custom beadlocks. about 14" of lift and alot of triming.
I'm going to be building my highsteer for my 60 soon. I also dropped the motor and trans down in the frame 2" to help with angles and weight. I plan to build a 12 or 14 pt cage, and a custom tilt front end. I also still got to put all of my onboard air, fuel cell, as well as many other things on it this winter. I hope to have it done of the first ride of the season in mid March
