Picking up a truck for newer parts.

My 4.0L in the Bronco is on a rapid downward spiral of a death. This 92 ranger runs like a top, so it's going to donate it's engine.

Only major thing I can see is it's got a bad Trans.

Nice! Thats a pretty decent old ranger. May be worth just saving the body for a side project?

It will get parted out, but those are parts I plan to keep. My Bronco is a manual and uses all the same parts. Always nice to find good parts and hord them for when the time comes when you need them.

Naw I cracked a head, so I pulled it off. I'll be testing out a few things with my old engine once the new one is in and running. Should allow for better ECU tuning and I should be able to tune it for the fuel right within the ECU, and be able to adjust the timing. Once that works then the turbo kit will go back into the bronco.

Got it home last night. Need some daylight to really look it over. It's been noted that the heater doesn't work. Everything else seems solid.

230K, whats that like 100,000 miles?

Thats how many my 4.0 had it when I swapped it in.

Heater doesn't work? Did you check the heater fluid?

Got everything swapped over.

Boy is it nice to have a quiet running engine.
I bet it is! I just replaced some noisy pulleys and bought a Sagniaw pump...I'm excited.

Turbo'ing this one?

No turbo for this motor.......yet.

The guage cluster is in Km/H, I'd rather keep the interior intact unless I don't sell the cab. Currently I have the cab listed for sale locally for $200. If no takers buy the end of spring then I'll part it out and crush the rest.
