Need wheel and or tire suggestions

Escape wheels probably wouldn’t fit either? Found a set for $150.
They are made for a FWD based vehicle. The backspace and offset are very different from most RWD based vehicles.

They are made for a FWD based vehicle. The backspace and offset are very different from most RWD based vehicles.
Escape wheels will work with a 2” spacer, Im not a fan of spacers but it is necessary with some situations like a positive offset rim like a escape has. Ive ran hhr rims in the winter on the ranger with no issues. That requires a adapter as the bolt patterns differ between the wheels/vehicle.

Spacers can be a bit of a hot topic and can be problematic to down right dangerous if not installed or used properly.

While I haven’t used them on a vehicle that moves under it’s own power, I am using them on my trailer and have been for several years.

2” spacers with the original lugs and lug nuts stripped of all oil and installed with blue thread locker and torqued to spec. Then checked several times after to make sure nothing moved. A bit extreme perhaps but I’ve read too many times about people losing or nearly losing a wheel because the lug nuts behind the wheel had worked loose.

They have also been known to cause bearing issues because of the loads they are experiencing and aren't designed for. I haven’t had a problem but it is an issue to watch out for. That is for the deep spacers.

The thinner ones that pinch between the wheel and hub cause stud breaking issues. A couple people I knew had them. Ended up getting rid of them because they got tired of replacing broken studs.

Kind of a long winded answer to saying I was avoiding the subject but it also explains why.

Run them if you want but be careful.

Well got the wheel problem solved I think. Just bought a 99 with a blown 3.0 but has brand new tires on it. Now I have a truck for parts
