I am looking at lowering my ranger for cheap. I know how to do the front lowering. I need help with the rear I want to drop the whole truck 2 inches after the ranger sits level. It is at stock ride height. It is a 1996 Ford Ranger 3.0 2wd. Thanks Chris.

What is a DJM rear flip kit? How much does it lower the rear end of the truck? What is the height difference between the front and rear of the truck? How do I measure the diffference? Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to the whole lowering vehicles thing. This is all new to me and th first vehicle I have had that I actually want to change the looks of. Thanks Chris.

It relocates the leaf spring from on top the axle to underneath. Drop is 4-5" depending on which vehicle. The rear of a ranger is about 2" higher than the front in stock form. Usually a 3" drop in the front will match the rear flip kit. If this is too much for you, you can flip the rear shackle for about a 3" drop and drop the front about an inch...

Ok thanks guys. I think this is something my dad and i can do. I will post some before and after pictures when we do it. This is going to be a pretty fun project as we are lowering the ranger, painting it, new rims and tires, and fixing the rust and the front fenders and the radiator support, headlight mounting panel. As the previous owner was hit in the driver side and never fixed it. Thanks Chris.
