oh yeah, gotta love it



now my 2.9l - 4.0l swap is gonna take place sooner than i thought. just gotta refresh the motor and MAYBE put a cam in it.

I don't know about opening it up. As AllanD would say......it lets evil spirits in.

What's the milage? Year? At most I might take a peek at the push rods, then slap it back together real quick. As I mentioned before(on other posts), I tore into my 130K 93' 4.0. I didn't have to, it was actaully in good shape, and I just had to buy $200 in gaskets to put it back together....... and who knows how much the exorcism will cost.:icon_twisted:

it came from a 93 Explorer 4x4 and had about 140K on it. peering into the cylinders through the spark plug hole, i see rust on the walls and piston tops. its obvious is has sat in the weather a bit. when i get it on a stand, ill see if i can rotate it. at first, i only planned on replacing the rod and main bearings, but upon seeing the rust, id began to rethink what i need to do. id really like to port the heads and intake to aide the headers, so id have to have the heads off anyway.
