I've started painting my truck "storm gray"
I've done the tailgate and bed side so far.
It's definitely a 10 foot paintjob, but that's all i want.

I've got the whole bed painted now. I'm hoping to get the rest of the truck done before winter, but there's a few things on my list before paint. I really need to herculine the bed before winter, and I wanna get some bed caps to protect the top because I'm gonna be loading my snowblower in and out of it.

Oh, and I have to replace a boot on my CV joint. Anyone ever do that? Or is it better to just replace the whole thing?

generally i've always considered it a good idea to replace the whole thing cuz dirt could have gotten in the tear and could cause failure.

I like the grey. If youre using rattle cans, I HIGHLY suggest trying Rustoleum enamel. Spray it on heavy and give it a few days to fully dry. It lays thick and flat and has a high gloss finish. Check out my thread to see how this stuff looks. You can get it at most hardware stores and any walmart or home depot.

Today I got a whole 01 edge front end conversion from rangerplus. It doesn't quite fit due to my rangers "unique" shape. I never had any straight panels before, so now that I do, I can do some re-shaping to my truck's front end. But for now, it just looks like I stuck some nice panels on a pile-of-shit truck.

Oh, and yes, I need to actually put my license plate on my bumper, instead of on the grill.

Sweet! Shoulda got the bumper too, and taillights, then your truck would just become an 01-03. Ok, so maybe that's just the salesmen in me talking. Looking forward to seeing more updates and color changes! Nice to meet you.

SO is that a bolt on swap? Hmm, I wouldn't mind doing that to my 93. Looks good!

I know it's a bolt on for 98-up, i think the inner body panels are different before that. I'm makin some heavy-duty bumpers, and I want some 06-up taillights, haha.
I painted the faded part of the grill today, and then moved my license plate to the bumper for the first time in a year and a half.

BTW, I just lopped off the plug for the extra bulbs and the turn signals still go the same speed, so fork it, I was gonna get fancy and solder in the proper resistors and everything, but no need, apparently. I'm waiting for a day that I'm not busy and it's not raining so I can knock my front end back into the right shape.

On your 93 you'll need to cut out and weld in a new core support. Also, if you plan to use a bumper from 98 or newer you'll need to fab up your own bumper brackets, which isn't tough, can be as simple as flipping the 93 brackets and drilling new holes. Other than that, yes bolt-on.

I straightened my front end out a bit with the help of a chain and my friends heep. Then with some careful fidgeting, I got all the panels lined up right.
