Mildew smell

Hey all


I'm getting a mildew smell from my air vents sometimes, was gonna try using a can of that disinfectant stuff through the system before digging into it. But I can't seem to find the fresh air intake. Anyone know where that's located and how to access it?

I don't have a 94, but if you have a grille around the wipers at the base of the windshield, that is where the air comes in. Most of the time the mildew smell is coming from water sitting in the drain pan underneath the A/C coil in the ductwork. On some trucks you can pull the fan and get some access to that area. There is a drain in there that likes to clog and aggravate the water situation. Sometimes it will overflow and make the floorboard wet under the carpet.
