Hey gang,
I'm in the process of closing out the latest project, which included new head and intake gaskets. The excellent write-up i followed, said to apply black silicone to bolt heads and stud nuts of the lower intake. Which i did. Last step would be retorquing the intake bolts after engine is warmed up. I just retimed the motor, and now that everything is warmed up I'm heading back in to retorque everything, and I'm not sure if I should touch the lower intake bolts. Wouldn't that disturb the silicon on the bolts? I definitely want things appropriately snug but I'm nervous i'll disturb a seal and need to go spelunking again. Which I don't want. Appreciate your thoughts.
