picked up this truck in late january for a couple hundred.... I have not gotten around to workin on it until now... Started body work a month ago but got sidetracked...

I am painting it Rustoleum Flat Black because I could not find a Satin finish.

Plans include 35% on the doors and 20% on the slider, Net tail gate(old tail gate is all screwed up)

I am going to paint the chrome bumpers black as well(maybe gloss black for some contrast) since the chrome is peeling and there is some surface rust. I'm also going to paint the trim gloss black for some contrast...

The transmission is making a whining noise... I am mulling around the idea of a 302 swap, I will need a different transmission anyways.
Some other considerations include round fog lights and CVPI steelies or something comparable.

(The day I brought it home... disregard the unattached bumper on the white car, its now re-attached)

(about a month ago, we started body work on it...)

(my helper)

(paid someone to weld the door holes up)

(cut to a few days ago, we started working on it again... Thats two coats of flat black rustoleum... (pic taken next day))

(two coats on the roof... (pic taken next morning))

(tired and faded window tint... Will look awesome with 20% on it)

I welcome all comments and questions... Before you laugh or flame, Yes I know Rustoleum is an unorthodox choice, but I have done a lot of research and have seem many cases where it turns out just awesome... A popular magazine has even covered it in one of there issues... Also, I am tired of looking at my truck in this condition and for under 50 bucks, I can make it one color...

Thanks for viewing and updates will come shortly.

-thanks

Doesn't seem bad. It looks like the black paint might work out. Most of the time a flat black paint job looks blotchy and uneven. So far, your's is looking good!
