Are any other year ranger parts interchangable? 83,84,85,86?? I know that the engine would if it matches, but will the bed, doors etc. work on a 85 ranger.

Thanks

it depends on exactly what u want to swap. if ur lookin to swap body parts anything from the doors back should be bolt on from 83-92 if im not mistaken. ive heard of ppl putting 1st gen. noses on a 2nd gen. truck but ive never done it myself. the running gear(i.e axles, front beams) are the same. some rangers came with 28 spline 8.8's but they still bolt in.

yes all body parts will fit
beds up to 92 will fit and tailgates(look ugly with that stainless peice though)
but ya there the same(83 to 9?) but fenders are diffrent for the newer style headlights

The tailgates are the same, the aluminum plate on the tailgate was for the fancier trucks. My '85 Custom doesn't have it, but it is shown in my sales brochure.

Really most everything from 83-92 interchanges. The only difference in the front after 88 is the fenders, core support, hood and grill assembly. From the fenders back they are the same. The Dana 35 is a little different from the Dana 28, the drive shaft needs to be shortened and the radius arms are a tad different. The body parts will fit though.
