About a week ago i noticed a REALLY FAINT and random hmmmmmmmm.....comming out of my truck. Now its getting louder and more pronounced.....Its not all the time....itll come up for about 3 or 4 seconds then go away...then comeback again...i only hear it when im not moving (at a light....in my driveway.....etc.
Now tonight i tried tracking the noise down... I couldn't find it anywhere!!!!! then i put my ear up to the gearshift and then i really heard it!!!!! Could this be the transmission.....or could it be a noise from somewhere else just traveling down the drive-train????
It doesn't go away or get worse if i either have my foot on the clutch or not....so it can't be a bad pilot bearing or input shaft bearing....right??? IDK im stumped kinda.....
Help please!!!!!
