Need suggestions on how and with what to clean IAC ---idle speed control valve. I'm especially concerned about a poossible need to replace gasket with one that is new. I got one reply om general discussion forum but would like to gear from others.

I pulled mine completely apart and used brake cleaner on the metal housing. Then just wiped off the end of the solenoid. As for the gasket just put some silicone on it and slap it back together.
