Been a long while since i have posted here. Was out of the RBV game for a little while but now i am back in it double time. I will have to get reacquainted with how to post pictures etc. but now for a little info on what i have in the fleet now.
RBV numero uno.
2005 Explorer Sport Trac, picked it up 05/2018 with 205k miles on it, replace the trans at 207k. Its pretty much stock save for a set of 265/75R16's on it. The nbasic plan is a set of V8 Explorer Torsion Bars up front and Warrior 153 Shackles out back. Then add a grille guard and lights.
RBV number two.
1997 Explorer XL. Yes, you read that right, its an XL. 145k miles on the clock, 4.0 OHV, was a fleet truck out of Maryland originally. Must say it is the weirdest optioned RBV i have ever owned. Being an XL the basics are as follows - Manual Windows/Locks/Mirrors, no Tilt, no Roof Rack, no Privacy Glass, Vinyl Bucket seats with no console, no Fogs, no RKE. Now for the really weird part, whoever spec'd this truck chose 3 options. It has the 4407 Transfer Case (Control Trac 4x4), Air Conditioning and Cruise Control. The plans for this one are a touch more complex. Its going to get a full mechanical refresh of the braking system, 4" Lift (Superlift front, SOA rear), 33's on 15x10's, a custom Center Console with my CB mounted in it, a Moonvisor (I have what I believe is the last BNIB Moonvisor for a 95-01 Explorer), custom Front/Rear Bumpers and a custom Roof Basket.
I have a few other projects to get done first but these ought to be fun.
