Fueling Problems

I have a 96 3.0. Whenever I fill up. Fuel starts pouring from the top of the tank. It only does it when I fill up not when putting in like $20. I don't really have any idea what it could be . So any help would be awsome

it has been my experience that it is the "jam nut" on top that holds the pump into the tank.

pull the bed...its 6 t55, tail lights, and filler neck. then grab a friend to help lift it off (its really not that heavy) my leak ended up being a split filler hoses right at the connection to the tank.

your filler neck is the problem, its cracked at the bend where it goes onto the tank. very common problem, new necks can be bought any where from $100-$200 depending on the brand. i replaced mine a few months ago while i had the bed off to replace the cab corners, mine didnt leak yet but i knew it was just a matter of time before i started pumping money on the ground and not it my tank.
