Front Ride Height with Torsion Bars

I was just reading that the spec for front ride height on all models (mine is 99 4x4), measure by the difference between lower control arm bolt center to floor and lowest point of spindle to floor is 4-4.5". Mine is somewhere around 3"! Am I doing something wrong? Here is a photo, doesn't seem that low.

Thanks Grump! Yeah that's what I'm doing. I cranked the bars up, now I'm at 4". Thought it might help my camber, left front is leaning in at the top, but didn't. Guess it's time to start looking at bushings and ball joints.

Chances are something is worn out.

My experience is that the adjuster bolts on the back of the torsion bars do not stay put, and over time they back off and lower the ride height. I started putting loctite on them when I adjust them, but I still seem to need to adjust them about every 10k miles.

I haven’t noticed that with my 2011 but I have taken actual measurements since I did the initial ride height adjustment. It could very well have moved some since then.
