Ok, I put up my Dana 60 & 10.25 from a '97 F350 up on craigslist. Well a guy said he would trade the axles in the title, the 8.8 has disk brakes and the dana 44 comes with the radius arms. He also metioned about a narrowed 9" but i don't think i need that over the 8.8.

So how would you guys go about this? I had bought the 1 tons for my '85 Bronco but have been thinking i want to build up a 91-94 Explorer & it may be more streetable & cheaper to build sticking with the smaller axles.

I have my axles posted at $700, what price should the dana 44 & 8.8 go for?

*EDIT* Decided not to bother exchanging axles, a guy called from Iraq and is having his father pick them up for the asking price.

I'd say whoever got the axles stole them from you.

Someone's about to score HUUUGGE on those F-350 axles if you let them go for that...
×2 on keeping the tons.

Besides that, the EB D44 isn't any big upgrade over the stock D35 under an Explorer anyway (bigger brakes are about the only significant thing IMO). Unless it has aftermarket shafts in it (maybe it does?) it'll have smaller axle u-joints, and neck-downs that are no bigger than the D35's shafts.

Edit:
Just noticed this post is a week short of 2 months old... Deal's probably already been done by now.
