A properly installed bolt on the flange of the driveshaft. SHOULD have been installed with red locktite.

Which in short Wont come off. => Which is the idea. In order to get it off you have to apply heat, a propane torch should be enough. Get it good and hot and it should come lose.

I have most of the drive shaft back together. The rear u joint is not going back together enough to put the last clip in. I brought it to work to take a better look at it.

How did that work out? I tried my first u-joint install this weekend and what a pain! Basically, I had the little roller pins move around just about every time. I knew I was screwed when I could not get the retaining pin in (pull it all apart and oh, there's a little pin that dropped and causing the problem). I finally got one done and gave up on the other when I found out my Flange Yoke was the wrong size (doh).

I'm taking it to the shop later in the week... $30 to install u-joints OR $48 to install u-joints AND balance the drive shaft. Money well spent I say!

For the price you have I would have a shop do the job too. I have at my disposal a few machine shops as well as machines and at work I can have the manual machinist do the press work for me. I thought about making a special punch for removal and assembly but I don't know if there is much market for it?
