Im looking to beef up my Dana35 a little and i was wondering if anyone has ever used a set of there on there truck, i was also wondering if these would work with the 5-760x u-joint upgrade without having to modify them, i know i would still have to modify the inner axle shafts.

If annyone has any info on these, or even knows if they will work on my truck(since they didnt specify the year range)please let me know.

Cheers.:icon_cheers:

Its a pretty pointless upgrade considering there isn't anything to upgrade the inner shafts to.

I was just thinking i could get those instead of modifying my stock outers to accept the full u-joint clip, the chrome moly shafts look like ther will accept the full round clips. If they would acept the full round clip i would rather use them instead of having to grind away some of my stock outer that way there less of a chance i would make a weak point, this way i would only have to grind the inners.

I just want to know if anyone thinks this is a stupid idea, plus the chrome moly outers are supposed to be about 15%stronger then the stock outers.

And yes i know there is no upgrade for the inner shafts.

I think they'd offer some additional strength. The smallest part anywhere on the D35 shaft is on the stub shaft (the c-clip groove). If that part is of a stronger material, then you should be making it at least as strong as your inner shafts. I will say though their benefits would be greater if there were also inners available (very odd that there isn't too).

And then again, by the time you got done buying a full set of shafts, you could be well on your way to a much-stronger-still D60 axle.
