I didnt realize i had a d35 at first. when i got to my moms house last night, i looked at my axle, and compared it to one of the thread things on here and its a true d35, not a hybrid, so swapping the axle out of the 88 is no longer an option. I believe its a swapped axle because it has d28 steering bars, and shock mounts (buddy with a 4.0 has the same style shocks though). my d35 also has paint marker type of thing on the diff and axle shaft.

I HAVE PROGRESS! I went to a pick n pull, found an extended cab ranger, 4.0, electric t case, auto hubs, ribbed pumpkin, and 27 spine axles. Got the auto hub crap off, down to the spanner nut the auto hubs have, and couldn't get the spanner nut off because I didn't have the right spanner socket. It also has the thrust Washer on the outside, so I may grab those, since I haven't been able to find any... Rockauto may have them...

While I am here, it would be a wise idea to replace my wheel bearings, again. What brand should I go with? Truck is running on 32" Super Swamper TSLs, and probably wont see much anymore, haven't thought that far out yet.

Should I replace the inner needle bearings? I can get those from Napa, but not sure if its mandatory, or should to be safe. Do they need to be packed, or just grease the axle before I put it in?

I'm going to reuse the needle bearings inside the axle since they seem to be in fair shape. I played with them a little and they spin easily and cleanly.

I don't know how to upload more than 3 pictures at once, and with the option above, some do not upload...

well, I'm going to repack the needle bearings in the spindle since I can't get them out. I tried first on one of my old spindles and me, my dad, and his friend all tried and we gave up. We had him inspect the needles on the newer spindle and they're in good shape. Need to also clean and repack the wheel bearings, then hopefully I can get the truck back together this weekend... then do something about my exhaust so I can pass emissions and get it titled... and drive it more than 10 ft before it messes up again. and hopefully ill also have 4wd again :)

If anyone happens to care, I finally got the truck "finished" last month. However, some dumbass tried to put a D28 hub on the D35... With out the c-clip, the hub fits perfectly lol. So when I put the thrust washer and c clip in, I couldn't get my hub on, so I took off the dial, and punched out the guts with a deep socket and mallet. Now I have the housing on to protect the bearings and such. I am getting new Warn hubs later this week. Also, my axle does not pop on 4wd, and I found it to be the u joint was hitting on the steering knuckle, but the thrust washers and C clip takes care of that.
