2.3L ('83-'97) Cruise Control Question for '90 Ranger

I was wondering if someone here could help me with this... I am working on a Red 90 Ranger 2.3 and I would like to know if the cruise control off of my (black) 90 2.9 ranger would work or not. I am in the process of switching out steering columns 'cause my 2.9L has a tilt wheel and my 2.3L does not. I really want that tilt wheel in my 2.3 truck, and it would be good if I had cruise too. I really don't care that much about the cruise as I don't take my Red truck on long rides, but since I'm into it...why not have the cruise too!? I figure some modifications to the linkage may have to be done, but that would be no big deal. Thanx in advance for any and all help. The black truck is the parts donor for my red one, I've had the black one since 1994 (50,000 mi.) and drove it 'til 2 years ago (392,000 mi.), I wanted a new truck so I bought a Red '90 w/ a 2.3L for better gas mileage. Thanx again, fellers.
