Hi guys, I have a 1987 Ranger with the 2.9 and when I went to start it yesterday it made this terrible rattling/clattering sound until I let off the clutch. Trying to drive it was the same story, whenever the clutch was pressed it would make this terrible sound. It still seems to shift OK and the clutch isn't slipping when it's fully engaged but I have the feeling that something blew up and I'm gonna have to drop the transmission. I took a video of me starting it again this morning. The sound is so loud when it's first started the camera doesn't do it justice. Anyway if anyone has a minute to watch the video let me know what you think, I'd really appreciate it. I don't have any experience with anything clutch or transmission related so I'm hoping someone who knows more than I will chime in. I think this truck has the Toyo 5 speed transmission if that means anything to you. The link is below. Thanks in advance!
