So My System Needs More Power So I Was Wondering If I Could Hook Up Two Bateries And If Its Possible How To Do It. Does anyone know where i can get an alternator with more power without breaking the bank? thanks! oh yeah its an 86 ranger 4x4 2.9 v6

well whats your set up, you might not need it nor a battery or cap would be my first step any way, so what are you running were yo uthink you need more

Caps are worthless.....and like the others said post up your system specs...youmay just need to do the Big3 and be done...by doing the Big 3 and having a good front battery your good for 1k-1500 rms.

kenwood x639 twin apline amps one 600w one 400w, had on 15'', then two 12'' in a tuned box. now i have it all in my shed:icon_confused:

ok i have a 600 watt mono amp and one 10 inch shallow kicker.But it keeps dimming my lights. The speakers are just off the head unit. I already did the big three. so whats next?

you have an 86, oem alt?

shes prolly seen better days, your truck doesnt run off your battery, it runs off your alt. the battary is just used to start the truck. the charging system will recharge the battery and just run your truck.

inside your alt is a diod treo, they convert everything to the dc current. as its ages you can lose one or two of them and not know,

i would upgrade the alt, what else bolts up, or look here if you want a lil chubby

I could get a chrome unit from jegs for the price of those things. damn there pricey
