1999 ranger that I bought two years ago to learn the DIY basics.
Turns over great, new battery, spark plugs and leads, cleaned the air flow sensor, but still have intermittent starting issues, maybe one time out of seven.
Some times cold start, some times running hot (like when I stop for gas and won't start after) Eventually does but not until a half dozen tries and a few looks from anyone around.
No issues with power when it's running so I don't think it's the fuel pump. Ran the question through Google AI and it suggested crankshaft position sensor.
Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance.
