I want to get rid of the stupid CV flang and put in a normal joke. Do I have to swap t-cases? I do I have to get the adaptor? Can I just put in a normal yoke out of something else?

I believe that the front and rear yokes and flanges are interchangeable on the 1354s so any other 1354 flange or yoke should bolt on.

I think he's speaking of the front output doohickey on a '98+ case ("stupid CV flang")

I haven't done it myself, but I remember seeing a report that swapping the front output shaft itself out is also required to be able to put a normal u-joint yoke on that case, but I can't say for sure that it'll work.

Hopefully someone who's actually done this or knows more about it can chime in.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

Junkie is correct. You need to disassemble the case and swap the whole front output shaft. It doesnt matter if its from a 13-54 e-shift or manual, even the front output from a 95-96 4405 will work.
