anyone have a body lift with a manual trans?

so i had been wondering what my shifter on my m5od is gonna be like with my 3 inch body lift in my truck? do places sell adapters or anything like that or do i just have to deal with the shorter shifter?:dntknw:

Depends on the tranny, they sell an extension for the M5OD. The shorter shifter isn't that bad, I didn't mind it, now its about normal height again because I welded a piece of threaded rod to the top to accept an old school mack bulldog shift knob, the longer shifter makes it sloppier though, just my 2 cents.

yeah i was thinking if that didn't work if a shifter from like a 91 f150 would work. they look the same style of shifter but just longer (on the mazda trans. found usually behind a 300 6cyl or a 302)

I didn't extend my shifter or the 4x4 shifter and everything works fine......although the
4x4 shifter is a little farther down in the floorboard than I would like, but it still works fine nonetheless......
