Just started to leak recently. Water pump is 37k old. Leak appears to be front of engine above crank position sensor. Really hard to see down in there. Lots of people say it could be the timing chain cover. Any advice. Trying to avoid putting some stop leak stuff in this engine since it only has 37k on it.

Certainly could be timing cover gasket leak but not a known issue like it was on the 3.0l Vulcan

Best bet is to remove accessories and brackets until you can get a good view of the area
If you still can't see where its coming from then put upper rad hose back on fill with water and put a pressure tester on rad cap opening(hand pump and gauge) then pump it up to 20psi and see if you can find it then

Also check oil(dipstick) for signs of coolant, if it is the timing cover gasket it can leak into the oil pan

Check thermostat housing, it will collect on the top of the timing cover and could be sloshing downhill. Really common leak point and it can be a PITA to get it to seal.

Otherwise it could very well be the cover.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to go for the thermostat housing since it was changed about 6 weeks ago. Can't feel any moisture on the bottom of it but can only touch a little of it.
