1994 Ranger Super Cab Splash 2wd 4.0L, auto
I am upgrading the front single piston caliper to dual piston calipers.
Spindles came from a 1997 Ranger Supercab 2wd 3.0L, auto (Not a Splash or StepSide)
Ball joints, calipers, caliper brakes, brake pads, brake lines, bearings, spindles, and grease seals are all new.
I did not change the 1994 I-beams out for the 1997 I-beams.
I have installed the drivers side spindle and noticed the turning angle is different from original.
From the steering wheel center position to right turn lock (original spindle) is 1 3/4 turns.
From center position to Left turn lock ('97 Spindle) is 1 1/4 turns, roughly a half turn short of original.
I noticed the spindle stop surface on the '97 spindle is not hitting flush on the '94 I-beam stop.
For those who have done this upgrade, what did you do to solve this problem, if you encountered it.
