I am helping someone with a 94 explorer. The wires on the starter relay on the fender are not fastened down. I know 3 wires go on one side and one on the other. Does it make a difference which post gets the 3 wires? The trip wire is obvious. Someone over the years changed the wires from the factory style to all indivinual(?) Would someone please post a photo of what it should look like? I looked in the tech library and nothing was there. I have been searching using different terms but have not found what I am looking for. Thank you for your help, Chirs

The starter relay requires 4 wires on it to start the explorer. Battery power to the same connection of the relay (one from the battery, the other to the starter), a smaller guage wire on the other 5/16 stud going to the male spade connector on the starter, and then the smaller stud should have the "start" wire from the ignotion switvh. Any other wire you find that fits over the 5/16 stud will get connected to the battery feed wire. Sorry I don't have a picture but from what I explained you should be able to get it done.

Thank you for your help. Today I had to travel into town and while at the doctors office another explorer pulled in (93) and I saw the man get out of his truck. I asked him if I could look at the relay and he did not have a problem with that. So I was able to see what it looks like. So with your information and that visual I was able to get this put back together. Thanks again for your help. Chris
