92 xlt extended cab cut wire

I started to do a little reading on the 4x4 set up in attempt to isolate the reason 4x4 isnt engaging.

Just pulled the panel off just under the drivers side jump seat. I did find the shift module but I also found this. Can anyone tell me what this cut wire is ??

Ill tell you .. the peeps who owned this truck before me were butchers. Everytime I look .. I find something .. ummm .. interesting.

Up near the top of the picture, the word “kicker” can be seen on the wire insulation. I’d put money in that being an abandoned aftermarket stereo system wire.

Yep, power cable for aftermarket stereo amp.

Ok .. I did see that .. easy to see they are grounds .. but given the state of the truck .. wasnt sure if something should be there stock.
