Hi Everyone,

My wipers on my '86 2.9 automatic STX work on slow and fast but not on intermittent. I have searched threads for a similar problem but so far have come up blank. The truck sat for a long time (as in years!). I suspect the governor switch, which, I think is above left knee under the dash. It's a little hard to get to but does it sound like I'm on to the culprit?

Thanks so much for any help on this!

Dave

Thanks for the word. The Chilton and Haynes books I've got don't even mention the part. Trying to remember where I read about it...

FWIW: I was looking for that module and the parts so I could add delay to my 1985, I gave up. I ended up ordering a delay board from E-Bay, I am going to see how that works and fits behind the dash.

My credo
Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
The truck is totally screwed up electrically. You should just give it to me. ;)

Although the little control box was in different locations under the dash I put an '86 box & wiring in my '88 & it works fine. Not fun. Pretty sure I've read on here where a member repaired the circuit board itself. No idea how complicated that might be.
