Can it be put in a 2002 4.0 sohc ranger. are the electronics the same?

Also, anything to increase strength on said 5r55e? shift kit?

while i have it out of the truck i want to do anything i can to make it a little better.

the only thing you can do to that trany is a shift kit. as far as putting it into a 2002... I think so but wouldn't take my word for it.

Can it be put in a 2002 4.0 sohc ranger. are the electronics the same?
I know that they added a intermediate shaft speed (ISS) sensor during the '01 MY. As long as that sensor is on the '01 trans you have, it should swap in place of the '02.
