I‘m getting closer to a V8 swap in my 2000 Ranger. Prior to the swap I want to put a new fuel pump in the truck. This truck has the flex fuel option so I’m wondering what kind on compatibility issues there will be with the swap and what fuel pump I should use. This will not be an extreme engine build, 300 HP tops. If it matters I Don‘t care to retain this feature.

No compatibility issues, you just need to have a pump with enough capacity. It sounds like you will not be doing a tune for E85 with the new engine, so a 255 should be enough for the power you are planning.
