Hey guys,
I am having some problems finding the right kind of motor mounts for my swap. I’ve seen several explorer swaps for this but I’m trying to go with a motor from a mustang. What I have is a 2000 ranger that has torsion bar suspension but is a 2wd truck. Also the motor mounts are staggered, not in a straight line. Any help would be awesome.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
I would make plates based in v6 or make spring mounts

That’s another issue. I don’t have the knowledge nor the capabilities to make mounts. At least not right now. This is kind of a budget back yard build.

Not to be rude, but if you lack the ability to make engine mounts, then you'll probably lack the ability to complete the V8 swap. You would likely run across several situations where fabricating something would be necessary..

I suggest you start acquiring some basic tools first. A guy can do a lot with a simple angle grinder and a small Harbor Fright 110v welder. If you need something welded up stronger, then you can tack it together and then take it to a shop to have it finish welded. The 110v welders will do exhaust and body panels nicely as well.
