So I am wrapping up my 2.3/M50d swap, and I cant get the drive shaft into the 5 speed transmission. Transmission came out of a 93 ranger, drive shaft is orgiinal 1988 2.9/A4LD one. I thought the drive shaft yokes were all the same? Or is the 93 ranger or 5 speed ranger drive shaft yokes different? I searched and couldnt find anything related to this.

Thanks

apparently you find answer's right after you make a post. Anyways, I found out the yoke is different between manuals/auto, and for RWD (2WD) the drive shaft for a manual is slightly longer then for the automatic. Guess I'll be headed to the pick-n-pull to pull some more parts off the ranger I've already made 2 trips to.
