Mine has no problem keeping up with traffic but as I said it burns a lot more gas than you would think.

Not keeping up with traffic or not maintaining modern highway speeds is simply not acceptable. Burning more gas is a small price to pay for avoiding someone else's road rage.
Yea for sure no sense in holding up traffic. Always make sure to work with traffic, give people room to get around you if needed etc...and if I'm going by the cities or something I'll take a more suitable rig like the chrysler 3.6 vvt that will more easily go the required road rage speeds and probably also get better mpg's while doing so.
