wow. i am digging your approach. little tight. but really nice packaging.

Yeah I have no idea what I'm doing but I know it's been done similarly to this. Being as how I bought the motor already pulled I don't know how the 300ds orientated with everything but I'm realizing the ford engine bay runs out of real estate real fast

There she is.

I welded it up, it was a bit funny in a couple spots where the oil in the aluminum boiled up but a quick grind and It built up nicely just enough that I could blend it a little with a disc. After I used a scotch brite pad and blended it some more. I used a bead blaster to make it look like the rest of the intake. My hands were dirty from cleaning the aluminum to weld it so I rubbed my hands on it. Came out looking fairly factory.

I made a little barb to slip into the compressor housing. While I was out tigging I did it too. More progress

It will work for the time being. If I do it all now I wont have any fun modifying it later

Filter and thermostat set up.

I have all the hoses made up for my system just need to make a bracket to hold the filter head and thermostat to the core support. When its mounted I can finish up the oil cooler mount.

I feel like I'm not far off now but I need to dry mount this stuff before I pull it all out for finalizing. The exhaust is getting put on hold I have a down pipe on the motor but am missing a section that is at my father's place 250kms away I'm too cheap to buy more stainless to finish it now so it can get done last.
