well, I just install the exhaust system on my ranger. I'm still wondering about the time and stuff as my motor is pulled apart.

Hey rob. Welcome to the ranger station. There is an article in the tech library about the four cylinder timing belt. There are also some engine specific areas in the forum. I have a 2.8 and timing gears so I can't help with the specifics.

Well hey there! Awesome, I'm waiting for it to stop raining so I can pull a lower timing belt cover off of a pull a part ranger. I posted my timing belt change thread in the 2000 and earlier 4 banger forum. I'll probably be in that thread for a while, considering the weather and what not.

I can relate. I don't have a shop or garage so when the weather sucks I drool over all the cool rangers here.

Thanks! I honestly like the older square bodies. I want this one to run for a long time. Yea, rain is alright when you're in a car or truck. Mine is down and ripped apart right now. I'm in the middle of doing the timing belt. My motorcycle is what I'm using for transportation. Not so much fun in the rain. Your truck looks awesome btw. Congrats on truck of the month.

I lived in Southern California for 17 years. I know about those droughts, and the fires, and the mudslides and the earthquakes... I miss the beach and the mountains. Not the traffic or insanity of the politicians there though.
