Old thread I know, but, I replaced the suspicious capacitor. That did not fix it and neither did a new computer entirely. But then I discovered that if I move the computer around while it's lying in the floor (previous owner broke/lost mount) it will fix the issue and run on 6. I then took apart the main connector block and examined the individual troublesome wire. Nothing was wrong with it, no corrosion or damage, but where the computer pin connects to the wire is a little metal connector with an adjustable tip. My theory is that tip had widened and caused a loose connection. Because my multimeter probe was bigger than the computer pin, it always made good contact, and showed continuity to the injector harness. I carefully compressed the connector tip back down with pliers and put everything back together making sure the connector block was tightly bolted to the computer. Fired it up and no more misfire.
