My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
It really got old sitting looking backwards.
The only worse seat I ever had was sitting in a jet plane backwards. Lost my stomach on takeoff and didn't get it back until it leveled off at 35000 ft
That sounds fun. I'm weird.

So I was driving down the road and saw a black, slightly bigger than football size object. Cranked a U and found what looks to be at least a 5hp 240V motor. Other the an external fan bent a bit, and some road rash, it looks to be new. Still has blue grease on the shaft. Unfortunately it is a flange mount and I've never seen or used one before. I will have to research applications.

What have you found?
I figured out this motor is missing a back cover over the fan blades. The motor is a TEFC; Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled. Good for environments with explosive gases. And dust can be explosive in the right circumstances, like grain dust. Or paint fumes. I haven't look for a cover yet but will...

I would volunteer/call/fight for the backwards seat.
We never had a station wagon growing up. So never got to experence the backwards seat.

We got carted around in a 75 or 76 Club wagon lol

I de-shelled a turtle once . He was in the middle of the road and I was going to straddle him. Didn't think about the clearance of the Accord and I heard the slightest thump. Surely he didn't fare too well after that.

damn. Only good thing ive ever found was an 8ft werner fiberglass ladder.

Wasnt much good though after i ran it over.:cautious:
My only worthwhile find was a 6' fiberglass ladder on the shoulder.

About 2 years ago I found a 12" Snap-On Philips screwdriver. Then about 6 months ago I found a Mac 6" flat tip.

I wondered where those went... I'll PM you my address so you can send them to the rightful owner.

But seriously... I lost an old Mac red handled chrome flat tip. If it's the right one I'd be willing to trade a snap on flat blade for it...

I have found 2 aluminum baseball bats, an Escape grill, A ford Ranger/Explorer Aluminum Rim with a shredded tire, a few steel rims, with crappy tires. I once found a Brand new white wagon wheel rim/tire combo that was a perfect fit for my D21, but the tire had a road rash scar all the way to the wire on the inside. the tire still had the sticker on it, but the damage was too bad to trust for a spare. I've recently found a Power Wheels Mustang, practically brand new. I made a few mods to it so it would be more fun. (Larger battery and bicycle tires cut up and screwed to the wheels for more traction.)
I tend to stop at all trash piles and the like, living in a college town, I see whole aprtments sitting out by the road in piles and heaps. I'm not too proud to stop and plunder. I also just came across a box that had about 10-12 cans of spray paint and some sanding sponges and a belt for a belt sander, still in the package. I just don't have a belt sander for it.

Just keep checking those trash piles.
Oh, that reminds me, I recently found a hand held rotarty tool. Not a Dremel brand and a little bit bigger/beefier than a Dremel. It may be a small hand held router of some sort. It was in a matching bag with a bunch of small broken drill bits and a few spare parts. It works like a champ, I use it to drill out the rivets for customizing Hot Wheels.

Sounds like a "die grinder" tool.

it has this adaptor piece, almost like a foot, but it's a circle. The angle can be adjusted. The rotary tool can slipe up/down the adaptor piece. I think it's for plunging holes.
It will only accept small drill bits and dremel tips will aslo fit.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
