Had a miss fire on cylinder 4 losing compression do to a bad exhaust valve. Ripped it apart and had the heads refurbished at a machine shop. Ended up replacing the plugs, the wires, the injectors (ultra power), the water pump, the tensioner pulley, the idler pulley, the clutch fan assembly, the headers w/JBA shorty headers, JET MAF, JET Power Control Module. Truck was then throwing rich codes for both banks and running a little sporadically? I've since then eliminated the coned thing from my air intake box and she seams to like it that way! Runs wicked good without stalling out! I'm waiting on a cold air intake from aFe Power, and I plan on replacing the rest of the exhaust system and 02 sensors! Any suggestions on what my problem is with running rich or replacing my exhaust from the headers back would be super awesome!??

Are the o2 sensor plugs on the correct bank? As in Accidentally swapped sides.

JET products don't really have a good reputation, so my gut says to start by ditching them, at least for comparison. The power module probably just adds fuel if it does anything at all.

What size are the fuel injectors? Flex fuel injectors were larger than injectors in the non-flex 3.0, so if you have a non-flex 3.0 and put flex fuel injectors in it, it will run too rich.

and that jet thing is going to make it run rich, as noted above.

factory intake was a cold air intake, just so you know. they have been for many years.

post pics of the engine though. i want to see the headers since i have a 3.0 also and have thought about adding them

No. Haven't touched the o2 sensors. I think that it's the after market injectors spraying too much fuel and the ecm connot adjust it to get it right. I've already ordered new Motorcraft injectors! I'm pretty sure that it will do the trick!!

I believe that you're right and on to something!

I know it's a cold air intake, I realize that. The headers are titanium ceramic coated. They won't discolor.

Oh yeah I flushed the cooling system 4 times! First with strait water, then twice with a cleaner, and then again with water, and then with 50/50 mix. New t-stat as well.

I lost some room to change my oil filter though! We'll see next time I have to change it! I think it's well worth the trouble!! 👍🏼
