And.... At the Skoolie Festival, this weekend, one couple's bus wasn't ready to travel. So they're camping in their Ranger.

Just saw this at Uwharrie, NC. The guy was in a hurry to get on the trail. So we didn't talk much. He said this is the Danger Ranger that has been featured by Peterson in 4wheel drive magazine.

97 Ranger, 3.0l, atlas transfer case, 14 bolt rear. I think he said 5.33 gears. I'm not sure of the ratios for 14 bolts.

wish I could of got a picture of what I saw today, a co-worker bought his daughter a used ranger, 1985 reg cab longbed, V6 auto, 2wd but with the 4x4 stx alloy wheels from the gen 1 series. Two-tone paint. Minimal rust over rear tires. Yeah a 2.8 AL4D but that could easily be fixed (Like a certain green 4x4 of the same year thats on this site) Maybe he will drive it tomorrow and I can capture it on film.
